Sacramento, Calif. – Move America Forward, the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop advocacy organization expressed dismay at the news that the US has reached a short-sighted deal with the Iranians over their nuclear weapons program, which will further destabilize the Middle East and threaten US interests in the region.
“This deal is not a good first step as claimed, but it is a step in the wrong direction, ” said Danny Gonzalez, Director of Communications for Move America Forward. “Iran has consistently lied to the West and hid how much uranium they are enriching and are capable of enriching. Iran announced to the world that they were enriching Uranium in 2006 when it was already a well-known fact that they had been doing so since 2003. They were not truthful then, and they have continually resisted outside inspections to verify that they were not advancing a military objective of nuclear weapons. Lifting any of the economic sanctions makes no sense when it is based on their word that they’re going to stop enriching weapons grade uranium.”
“Since the Iranian regime continues to threaten our closest ally in the region, there should have been no agreement without giving Israel a seat at the negotiating table. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was forced to strongly and publicly denounce this agreement because their security is further impaired under this agreement, and American interests will be compromised if the Iranians are able to change the balance of power in the Middle East by becoming a nuclear power.” concluded Gonzalez.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, Move America Forward condemned a proposed deal being brokered between Iran and Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva. The proposal has also been denounced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and numerous American legislators.
“Initial reports coming from numerous sources indicate that the deal John Kerry is working out with the Iranians would put America in a weaker bargaining position. It makes no sense to relax sanctions on Iran without requiring them to give up something in return. To do so would take away our only strong bargaining chip in future negotiations.” said Danny Gonzalez, Director of Communications for the group.
“The fact that Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel said it was a ‘very, very bad deal’ after a meeting with Secretary Kerry is evidence enough that the plan he’s working on does not serve America’s interests in its current form. Iran needs to be held more accountable and be willing to give up their ability to enrich uranium to weapons grade purity. The current plan would not require Iran to turn over any uranium or shut down any of their enrichment facilities.
“Senator Ted Cruz of Texas rightly said that the US should negotiate from a position of strength, and we agree one hundred percent.” said Gonzalez “If we don’t demand it now, what’s the incentive for Iran to disarm later? They will have already got what they wanted and would have no reason to continue negotiations By making concessions and reducing sanctions but not requiring Iran to disarm, we would weaken our bargaining position and actually reduce the prospects of having Iran disarm in the future.” concluded Gonzalez.
PRO TROOP GROUP SAYS OBAMA STUMBLING WITH
“CONTRADICTORY, INCOHERENT STRATEGY” ON SYRIA
Sacramento, Calif. – The nation’s largest pro-troop grassroots group, Move America Forward, reacted to President Obama’s prepared remarks to the American public by questioning his leadership and the consistency of his strategy.
“Tonight President Obama reversed himself again when he asked Congress and the American people to wait on Russia before authorizing a military strike. This is a week after he asked Congress to authorize a military strike against Assad’s regime in Syria and claiming all diplomatic efforts had been exhausted. Confusing?” asked Danny Gonzalez, Director of Communications. “We thought so too. It’s confusing, it’s muddled, and it’s contradictory and incoherent.”
The group points out that at several points in his short speech, the President presented conflicting arguments in favor and against taking action in Syria. It was not clear which was the right course. He then concluded that we would let Russia determine our policy based on their stated control over the Assad chemical weapons stockpile.
“The President said in his address that Assad’s regime poses no military threat to the United States, but he still claimed there is a national security interest for the United States in Syria when he clearly stated ‘Our ideals, principles, as well as our national security is at stake in Syria.’
“Either there is a threat or there isn’t.” said Gonzalez. “If there is no threat, then why are we risking American lives? If there is a threat, then why is President Obama relying on Russia instead of taking care of America’s security himself.
“He promised no troops on the ground, but what happens if Syria responds and attacks American interests? Is he then prepared to say that we won’t respond to a direct attack? The President delivered a stumbling address that left Americans as disinterested in taking military action now as ever.
“The President also recognized that Al Qaeda is in Syria and working against Assad. That remains to be a major concern to many Americans who don’t feel we should be helping the same terrorist organization that engineered the tragedy of 9/11. Yet on the eve of that anniversary, President Obama asked Americans to contemplate terrorist ascendency without an explanation as to why it helps us.” concluded Gonzalez.
Sacramento, Calif. – The nation’s largest pro-troop grassroots group, Move America Forward, came out strongly against the U.S. Senate Foreign Affairs Committee-passed resolution authorizing military action in Syria, but setting a 60-day limit.
“It would be wiser for Congress to either reject all military action or give President Obama the authority to exercise his authority as Commander-In-Chief without the burdens of ‘armchair Generals’ in Washington, said Danny Gonzalez, Communications Director for the group.
“We learned in past conflicts like Vietnam, and in President Obama’s confusing rules of engagement in Afghanistan, that the troops don’t need political interference. The American military is extremely good at what they do. If we give them an objective to complete and stay out of their way, they will accomplish it. The Senate should stay out of how they complete that mission; that is a job for the commanders on the ground and not the politicians in Washington.
“While we continue to oppose any military action in Syria, it certainly shouldn’t be done with political conditions by Congress that impinges on the President’s own war powers. We applaud the President and the Senate engaging in a debate before we risk the lives of our troops, but ultimately President Obama must show leadership and define the mission and take responsibility for it.
“We remain convinced that America has little to gain from a limited strike against Syria, and it is better to take no action than to send in the military in a way that is not likely to change the situation. If the military is deployed, we must not constrain them with rules or timetables. As we have already learned in Afghanistan and Iraq, timetables send the wrong signal to the enemy and shows that we are not committed to achieving our objectives. It is better to do nothing at all than to approve a half-hearted measure constrained by arbitrary timetables or rules of engagement that would ultimately achieve nothing,” Gonzalez concluded.

Traitor Bradley Manning Knew He Was Aiding the Enemy
Sacramento, Calif. – Move America Forward (MAF), the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, announced extreme disappointment that former Army Intelligence Analyst, Spc. Bradley Manning was acquitted of aiding the enemy despite the biggest leak of Military classified information in our nation’s history. Evidence suggests that Manning knew the classified U.S. intelligence reports he turned over to WikiLeaks would likely fall into enemy hands, including those of Osama Bin Laden himself, which investigators determined eventually happened.
“Army Specialist Bradley Manning is a traitor, and his claim of not knowing the release of over 700,000 classified reports, diplomatic cables and videos would end up in the hands of Al Qaeda and endanger the lives of our currently serving American Military is both incredibly naive and implausible. He not only has jeopardized American lives but also that of those Iraqi and Afghan nationals who were exposed and then hunted down by the terrorists for cooperating U.S. forces to fight Islamic terrorist insurgencies threatening the stability of Iraq and Afghanistan.” Scott Raab, Outreach Director of Move America Forward, continued to say “Manning betrayed his country, endangered his fellow servicemen and we look forward to a sentencing that will ensure he never walks free again.”
Manning was convicted of five espionage counts, five theft charges, a computer fraud charge and other military infractions. His sentencing is scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday July 31, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. Move America Forward is a non-profit pro-troops organization with the mission of supporting our troops and their missions in the war on terror.

GROUP VISITED GUANTANAMO SAYS OBAMA MUST KEEP GITMO OPEN
Sacramento, Calif. – Move America Forward (MAF) the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, criticized President Obama’s decision to hire high-powered K street lawyer Clifford Sloan to renew the President’s efforts to close Guantanamo Bay, citing numerous failed attempts and security challenges.
“President Obama has made closing Guantanamo a priority only when it was necessary to please his very liberal base, but most of middle America don’t support closing this important military asset,” said Danny Gonzalez, Director of Communications for MAF. “Polls show that up wards of 63% of Americans want to keep Guantanamo Bay open, showing the failure of President Obama to convince them otherwise over the past 5 years.”
Move America Forward (MAF) sent a delegation to Guantanamo Bay in 2008 and concluded that the facility met and exceeded all standards of decency and respect to the prisoners held there, who are the most dangerous terrorist suspects in custody.
“When we toured GITMO in 2008 we saw that they’re allowed to play soccer, do art, eat McDonald’s and watch Harry Potter movies if they want. Only the most violent and dangerous detainees are kept isolated, and that’s based on their behavior. There is no torture or violation of human rights going on at GITMO” said Gonzalez.
“The President wrongly wants to treat terrorist as common criminals and insert them into the U.S. criminal justice systems and all of the rights afforded to American citizens. That is a disastrous approach because enemy combatants should be tried under a military justice system.
The group also cited the President’s previous failed attempts to find a prison on U.S. soil to relocate the prisoners. “When President Obama had Eric Holder visiting towns like Thomson, Illinois to find a prison to house the terrorists, the local population protested. We don’t want a GITMO on American soil, so where is President Obama going to send these dangerous terrorist suspects?”
MAF says it’s necessary to keep the prisoners under the watchful eye of the U.S. military and not a foreign government like the Yemenis. “In the past hundreds of Al Qaeda operatives or suspects held at GITMO were released to other countries for safekeeping. However many of these dangerous operatives were subsequently let free, then later found back on the battlefield. This has happened under President Bush and Obama. It is irresponsible to transfer terrorist suspects to a country like Yemen if we know that they are either unwilling or unable to keep them detained when they present a danger to American security or our troops in the Middle East,” said Gonzalez. “For all those reasons and more, President Obama must KEEP GITMO OPEN!”

Move America Forward Calls for More Transparency
& Investigation in Light of Newly Revealed Information
Sacramento, Calif. – Move America Forward, the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, called on Congress to launch more investigations into the Benghazi incident and the cover up by the Obama administration, particularly the conduct of then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“State Department officials have been coming forward in recent weeks, telling Congress some disturbing details about what could have been done to respond to the terrorist attack on our diplomats in Benghazi. These facts reveal a number of lies told by the administration.” said Danny Gonzalez, Director of Communications for the group.
State Department official Gregory Hicks revealed that U.S. Special Ops forces were told to stand down despite the fact that they were ready to go into Benghazi with time to save Ambassador Chris Stevens and his fellow diplomats. Hicks also revealed that he was instructed by Clinton’s Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills not to cooperate with the investigation led by U.S. Rep. Chaffetz while in Libya.
“This is clear evidence that there was indeed a cover-up, and that Clinton’s office was behind it and attempted to coerce State Department officials into being complicit in the cover-up. The American people should be furious about this.” said Gonzalez.
“Hillary Clinton told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on January 23, that there were ‘no delays in decision making, no denials of support from Washington or from our military.’ Telling Special Ops forces not to go save the lives of U.S. Diplomats under fire sounds like a denial of support. So why did Secretary Clinton lie to the Senate during sworn testimony and why did she direct her subordinates to coordinate a cover-up of the whole incident?” asked Gonzalez.

Islamic Jihad still threat two years later
Sacramento, Calif. – On the two year anniversary of Osama bin Laden’s death Move America Forward the Nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization urges President Obama to remember that the threat of radical Islam to America has not diminished and that we must remain vigilant in identifying Islamic jihad threats and treat those who carry out acts of terror with the seriousness they deserve.
“The recent Boston Marathon terrorist attack shows us that the War on Terror is far from over and the threat of Islamic jihad is as real today as it was before Osama bin Laden was killed.” Said Scott Raab, Outreach Director for Move America Forward. “The Boston Marathon was not because of Tax Day or any of the other reasons media outlets tried to suggest, it was because of Islamic jihad, and we need to remember attacks like Benghazi even if they seem like a long time ago to the white house”.
To stop the questioning of Dzhokhar and give a terrorist access to a lawyer, effectively stopping valuable information on other terrorists, terror plots and high level information is inexcusable. It has been two years since Seal Team Six found and killed Osama bin Laden, but the Boston Marathon terrorist attack and attacks on our embassies are a clear sign that our enemies are not beaten.
Every day, radical muslims dream of carrying out jihad like Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev did on April 15th 2013. We must recognize Islamic jihad as the threat, and stop censoring our efforts in attempt at political correctness.
