WHERE: Move America Forward – 3105 Fite Circle, Suite 108 Sacramento, CA 95827 MAP

WHO: Tower Two survivor and Move America Forward volunteer Richard Hannaford was working on the 84th Floor of the South Twin Tower on the morning of September 11th when the first plane hit the North Tower. Richard quickly gathered colleagues and begin evacuating his own tower, which was hit just seventeen minutes later. This immediate decision to evacuate saved Richard’s life, but in the aftermath of the horrific event he yearned for a way to process his grief and give back. He found some solace in volunteering with Move America Forward to get care packages to our troops overseas who protect our freedoms and liberties.

Move America Forward, one of the nation’s top-rated and nationally recognized charities for serving the troops on the front lines. We’ve shipped over 624 TONS of care packages to active duty troops deployed around the globe.

“The most important thing is that it doesn’t happen again and part of the reason it hasn’t happened is because of our military.”
