Help Santa Load the Sleigh

Tis the Season! So much to be thankful for, so much to look forward to and so much TO DO. Packing, wrapping, baking shopping, it can seem overwhelming and quite frankly exhausting.  However, don’t forget to count your blessings.  As we enjoy family and friends, our troops just might be hunkered down half a world away. Imagine, as they just wish for some of that old fashioned Christmas cheer we take for granted.

While we are busy making a list and checking it twice, remember to keep off the naughty list. Through Christmas giving, our troops benefit as you warm their hearts and bellies with a little love from home. Best of all, it’s definitely going to put you right on top of the nice list!

Of course, Santa’s helpers at MAF headquarters will be happy to pitch in to make sure Christmas care packages head out the door.  We have a very busy volunteer calendar for the entire month of December culminating in our huge annual Christmas care package party on December 21st. We must do our best to fill all our care package requests. This year, with thousands of our troops deployed to inhospitable and dangerous areas around the globe, it is our duty to lend our support.

Troops continually reach out to us humbly seeking a little extra love and support from home during the holiday season. How can we possibly say no? Well, the answer is we simply cannot and thanks to our amazing supporters we don’t have to.

Join us in our mission of support. Our special Christmas care packages include all the regular troop goodies like coffee, cookies, jerky, personal care items, but through the end of the year, they include some thoughtful extras like fleecy red stockings, candy canes, hot chocolate and delicious See’s Candies and more!

Move America Forward care package donations as always remain 100% tax deductible. In addition, if you need a good cause to allocate your end of the year charity giving, we’d love to help you out! Furthermore, we don’t close up shop once Christmas is over, so even if you might be a bit late to the game, our Christmas packages will ship right through the end of the year. Our mission remains 365 days a year, and we are here to help you support our troops. Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Turkeys for Vets

Our friends at Wounded Warrior Project joined us recently to distribute over one hundred Thanksgiving turkeys for deserving military families and veterans in need. WWP also pitched in at our warehouse an epic packing party. Thanks to our enthusiastic WWP volunteers hundreds of holiday care packages got stuffed, sealed and prepped for shipping

Undoubtedly, our Wounded Warrior brothers and sisters know first-hand what service and sacrifice mean. Our partnership offers opportunities for WWP to support their brothers and sisters serving today. We are proud to facilitate this awesome support program that benefits so many.

Our veterans often face difficulty once returning from deployment. A multitude of our veterans face challenges we simply cannot understand. Research shows volunteer opportunities for our veterans affords them connection and sense of value. Thank you veterans, for pitching in to support our current generation of warriors.

Our Own Scott Raab Honored With Hometown Hero Award

A hectic week culminating in our Veterans Day Troopathon airing on Newsmax and our Veterans Day Packathon event wasn’t quite enough for our super energetic Scott Raab. November 13, found Scott front and center during the Sacramento Kings match vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers where he was honored as the Hometown Hero for his service in the U.S. Navy and continued efforts to support those serving today. “I am so humbled to be able to give back to the military community, but I never expected to be honored for just doing what I believe is the right thing.” said Scott.

Accompanied by a cheering crowd, Scott stood proudly as the Sacramento Kings and Crown Royal proclaimed Scott a Hometown Hero. Scott served honorably in the United States Navy as an intelligence analyst. As our Director of Outreach, Scott’s continuing dedication to our troops is indisputable. Scott, we are proud of all you do. We consider Scott a national treasure for his tireless work on behalf of our troops, volunteers, and community partners.

See’s for Soldiers Brings Sweet Treats for Christmas!

See’s for Soldiers is back for the 9th year in a row! Just in time for our special Christmas care packages, we’re bringing back a delicious favorite. What a fun way to treat our troops at Christmas. See’s Candies in our care packages delights our troops every year that we do it! Our exclusive See’s for Soldiers Program is just another of our many support efforts to bring the joy of See’s Candy to our troops serving in the Middle East and around the globe.

Our See’s for Soldiers program allows See’s holiday pop up store locations throughout California to collect candy donations for the troops. The See’s for Soldiers’ candy donations are included in our holiday care packages while supplies last. Since the donation this year is so generous, we are hoping to satisfy thousands of sweet tooths this Christmas season.

Since 1921, See’s Candy has made the best chocolates and confectioneries for millions of loyal candy lovers. If you happen to be getting some candy this year make sure you donate a box to our troops! See’s makes over 26 million pounds of candy a year and now through January, while supplies last and weather permits, our Christmas and New Year’s packages will include this extra sweet surprise!

“It’s exciting. Makes us feel special. Thought of. Cared for. We love receiving real hand written letters or cards as well. As we sit down and read them out loud to each other. We talk about wanting to write back to those individuals to say thank you and how much their package and letter made an impact. Some of us don’t have family or friends able to send their love and that’s why these packages mean so much.”
