The dynamic mother-daughter duos from the National Charity League, Inc. are among our most dedicated volunteers, bringing their energy, enthusiasm and community spirit with them each time they come in to Move America Forward to help out. We count on these young women and their patronesses to help fill our care packages with a big heaping helping of love from home!
At Move America Forward, we rely heavily on the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, like the 7th through 12th grade girls and their mothers of National Charity League, Inc., Folsom Chapter to help us with many tasks, from assembling and taping boxes with our iconic Move America Forward tape, to crafting heart-felt cards full of love and words of support, stuffing care packages full of goodies to enjoy and share and even hoofing loaded packages onto waiting postal trucks.

MAF has found a fantastic community liaison in Lisa Long our coordinator for NCL\’s Folsom Chapter who does all the planning and scheduling for the Folsom chapter\’s 250 plus young ladies and their patronesses.
According to Lisa Long, the girls really love the opportunity to volunteer with MAF \”There are so many different jobs the girls can take part in during the care package process, there is really something for everyone to do.\” She says the girls love how busy they are while they are there and the chance to see how many different steps it takes to get just one single care package out the door to our troops. \”The biggest reward for the girls is knowing they can really make a difference in the lives of our troops. They are excited to know that because of their efforts, a soldier will soon enjoy a fantastic care package from the folks back home\”

Troopathon 12 \”Care Packages for Our Heroes\” is Here!
Troopathon is our annual month-long Care Package drive culminating in a 7-hour long live TV and web broadcast June 28th from 12 – 7 PM PDT/3 – 10 PM EDT featuring some of your favorite pro-troop celebrities, movie stars, radio personalities, and military experts. Our goal is to send the largest single shipment of care packages to our troops this year! Please join us in supporting and thanking of our brave men and women serving in harms way!

The Team at Paradies Lagardère Receives the American Flag Flown in Honor of their Dedication to Troop Support
We were proud to award this American flag flown overseas to Tim Ahmadzai, Gregg Paradies and the Paradies Lagardère team. This flag was awarded to Paradies in honor of the commitment they have shown through their Treat Our Troops program found in several California airports . We thank them for their dedication and commitment to serving our troops!

Troops can rely on our care packages to bring a big long distance hug from home. A big part of our success is our dedicated partners who help ensure the success of Move America Forward and our mission of supporting our troops. We are blessed to have an incredible sponsor in Paradies Lagardère who not only facilitate the donation of treats for our troops though purchase donation at various California airport kiosks but has also provided a big monetary donation towards our previous Troopathon. In Recognition of American’s Fallen and Patriots on Memorial Day

Each year on Memorial Day weekend we honor American Patriots who gave the “last full measure of devotion” in their service to the Republic, so their fellow Americans could live their lives in freedom.
We not only honor American Combat Veterans who gave up their tomorrows, we also honor Veterans, and members of the US Armed Forces who were often separated from their loved ones, for long periods, as they went into “Harm’s Way”.
On this Memorial Day weekend, the nation solemnly pays homage to the thousands of Gold Star families for the loss of their loved ones, and the enormity of their sacrifice!

On Memorial Day, and every day throughout the year, we also honor Veterans who served in the defense of the Republic. America owes those Veterans a debt of gratitude that it can never repay! At one point in their lives, those Veterans wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including their lives”.
