Christmas Care Packages Shipped

Local Volunteers Packing & Shipping over 2,000 Care Packages to Deployed Troops for Christmas

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Move America Forward (MAF), a nationally recognized military care package 501(c)3 charity, together with local volunteers, community leaders, and members of the military community, will be shipping out Christmas care packages to American troops in harm’s way on the front lines in Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the world. We will be shipping over 2,000 care packages that are filled with special Christmas items like candy canes, hot chocolate, coffee and Christmas stockings full of candy as well as packing an additional 500 boxes. Each care package also includes messages of support written by donors thanking the troops for their service.

The care packages will be assembled and shipped TOMORROW Friday, December 20th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Move America Forward was recently named one of the top organizations to volunteer for in Sacramento by Great Non Profits, where charities are reviewed and rated by actual donors, volunteers, and clients. Move America Forward consistently receives the highest charity ratings from leading charity rating organizations for having exemplary business practices, transparency, and serving the military community with distinction.
Local media are invited to join us and do a story about the troops receiving care packages with our volunteers and local military in uniform. Visuals will include volunteers and members of the military who will be assembling boxes, applying labels to care packages, and loading packages into USPS shipping containers.
