Local Orthodontics Partner with MAF to Support Deployed
Troops & Local Schools with Halloween Candy Buyback Program

SACRAMENTO, CA., Nov. 3, 2016 – Move America Forward, the nation\’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization is partnering with local Orthodontics offices for an innovative program that benifits our troops and local schools. In honor of National Orthodontic Health Month, Image Orthodontics hosts an annual Candy Buy Back where patients and the community are encouraged to trade their leftover Halloween candy in for cash. The school that brings in the most candy is awarded a check matching the total amount of candy donated.

Last year, Image Orthodontics collected over 500 pounds of candy through the Candy Buy Back Program, resulting in over $1000 donated to Diamond Creek Elementary.  The office hopes to surpass that amount this year.

“Giving back to the schools is important to us. We know our schools need assistance and we are so happy that our youth community love participating in the program. We are all working together to help raise money for their schools,” says Rachelle Doyle, Professional Outreach Coordinator at Image Orthodontics.

Halloween is a holiday known for its sweet treats which can cause damage to braces and result in tooth decay if consumed on a regular basis.  Image Orthodontics is working to prevent the negative side effects of the holiday while financially assisting local schools.  There is a double benefit as the candy will be shipped by Move America Forward to troops serving on the front lines of the war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq.

THROUGH FRIDAY, RESIDENTS ARE
ENCOURAGED TO BRING EXTRA CANDY TO:

4150 Truxel Road, Suite A
Sacramento, CA 95834

This year’s candy buyback will take place November 1st through the 4th. Participants are encouraged to bring their Halloween candy to Image Orthodontics located on Truxel Road in Sacramento. Students will receive $1 for every pound of candy donated. The school that brings in the most candy will receive a check for the total amount donated. Candy will be located to Move America Forward and sent overseas in care packages to our troops.

Move America Forward, a registered 501(c)(3) charity, based in Sacramento, supports our troops and their missions in the war on terror. Move America Forward is supported by hundreds of thousands of pro-troop activists, veterans and military families across the nation. To date, they have shipped over 336 tons of care packages to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
