TallOrder Turning Tragedy into Triumph
Dan an Mike Friedman are hard to miss. Standing at 6’11 and 6’9, these twins stand out in any crowd.
As children growing up in New York they were lovingly referred to as the “Twin Towers.”
Sadly, on 9/11 that nickname took on a whole new meaning when they lost their Dad, Andrew, an everyday hero, in the World Trade Center attacks.
During Troopathon Dan and Mike shared their touching story of personal loss and how they turned that loss into an opportunity to benefit others.
According to son Mike, “Dad was a true patriot.” TallOrder is a testament to the care and kindness their father displayed in his daily life, traits which shine brightly in Andrew Friedman’s sons as well.
When our Outreach Director, Scott Raab reached out to Lisa Friedman Clark, President of TallOrder to see if we might be able to work together on Troopathon to benefit our troops, she responded with an enthusiastic “Yes!” thanks to the Friedman family and TallOrder, our troops can look forward to receiving over 100 pairs of socks in our troop care packages.
TallOrder is offering an exclusive deal to our readers. Just visit the website, TallOrder.com and use the code: troopathon at checkout, for each pair you purchase, TallOrder will donate a pair for our care package program. So help yourself to some great socks and help our troops at the same time! TallOrder socks are available in a wide range of sizes for both women and men in sizes 9-11, 12-15 and 16-20.
All TallOrder socks feature a blue logo on the ankle symbolizing the sky
on 9/11, serving as a reminder to all of those everyday heroes we lost.
TallOrder pays it forward by donating a portion of the profits for every sock sold to Tuesday’s Children, an organization that helps communities facing tragic loss.
“TallOrder socks are colorful, more comfortable than traditional socks,
and super stylish in sizes 9 to 20. Any man–big, small, tall, short–will
find the perfect fit. BECAUSE EVERY MAN DESERVES TO STAND TALL.
We hope you love our socks!”

Sunblock, lip balm, and deodorant are extremely useful and important to help keep the troops dry and protected from the harsh sun. We also include durable, refreshing wet field towels which help keep troops cool and fresh. They are strong enough to be reused and they are large enough to enable troops to take a field shower.
We’ve also go powdered Gatorade that troops can just mix up with some water and they’ve got a tasty and refreshing drink that replaces critical electrolytes.
These are just some of the great personal care items that the troops will be delighted to find in a care package sponsored by you. And, of course, we still include tasty treats and snacks as well as gourmet coffee and cookies to give our heroes a taste of home with some comfort food!
