Pres. Obama’s Ignores Benghazi at State of the Union Address

Pres. Obama’s 5th State of the Union Address, Ignores Navy SEAL Dad, Pushes Iran Deal

President Obama concentrated much of his State of the Union (SOTU) address on his own agenda rather than addressing any of the critical security issues facing the US now. It was one of the weakest SOTU speeches we have ever seen. Move America Forward’s response to the SOTU was centered around Benghazi and Iran.

It’s been 16 months since our diplomatic mission in Benghazi came under attack by a coordinated assault by terrorist groups affiliated with Al Qaeda. The 9/11/2012 attack took the lives of Ambassador Chris Stevens, 2 US Navy SEALs, and a US foreign service employee. Last night, Charles Woods, the father of one of those Navy SEALs Ty Woods, was in the audience at the SOTU address. He came as a guest of Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) to see the President speak.

While President Obama labored to talk heavily about several people in the audience, people he used as props to push his agenda, he completely ignored Charles Woods in the audience. He didn’t talk about Benghazi once – not to honor the victims or announce that any of the perpetrators have been brought to justice – because he hasn’t gone after them!

On Iran, the issue is that Obama is forging ahead with his plan of a 6 month agreement despite widespread opposition. His plan is to have America hand over billions of dollars in cash to the Iranian regime and repeal years of economic sanctions. In return, Obama claimed that he had “halted the progress of Iran’s nuclear program – and rolled parts of that program back.”

Mr. President is delusional if he really thinks the Iranians have halted their nuclear plan when at the same time as they are accepting this deal from Obama, they are also gloating and bragging on world media that they can resume enrichment at any time.

He also pledged to veto the bill currently in the Senate that would put sanctions back on Iran, setting up for a showdown between Obama and a bipartisan group of both Republicans and Democrats who support sanctions on Iran.

We have created a very GOOD problem that we urgently need your help with.

Last week, we told you about our problem and asked for help. We have over a thousand boxes just sitting in our warehouse packed with donated products, but we don’t have the postage to ship them overseas! Move America Forward staff and volunteers worked around the clock to pack and prepare all the extra donated product for shipping, but without postage they are doing no good for our brave troops overseas

We are off to a good start and thanks to the generosity of great Americans like you, we raised $11,233 enough to ship 845 care packages to our troops in Afghanistan. While this is amazing, we still need to raise $10,313 in order to ship the remaining 775 care packages and supplies that we have waiting for postage in our warehouse.

George from Gilbertsville, PA just joined Rich and Patricia as our biggest sponsors with a $655 donation — enough to ship 50 boxes, can you join them? Add your name to our “Hero Wall” below by donating $100 or more to “Operation Mail Call.” Every donation helps, please join our Hero Wall!

Whether you can afford to send 2 boxes or 50, every donation helps! Huge thanks to everyone on our Heroes Wall who sent over 5 boxes to help our troops!
Make a donation and put your name on the list today!

We have 775 boxes of care packages left packed and ready to ship, but without money for postage, they are stuck in our Sacramento warehouse.  We need your help to purchase postage and get them out of our warehouse, where they are doing no good, and over to Afghanistan into the arms of our troops that so desperately need them.

The cost to mail each box is $13.30 from the USPS.  That means that we urgently need to raise $10,313 ASAP.  Will you please help us purchase the postage to mail these supplies to our troops on the front lines of Afghanistan by making a tax-deductible donation today?

*Remember all donations to Move America Forward are tax-deductible.
