ONLY 4 DAYS LEFT UNTIL EASTER!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Easter is coming quickly – we have care packages ready to ship but we need YOU to sponsor them! With only 4 days until Easter Sunday, we need to ship these care packages out NOW so they can get to our troops in Afghanistan as soon as possible. Easter is one of the most important holidays of the year and we can’t let our troops be forgotten on this important holiday!
Our troops will be missing their families and thinking about home a lot more this week as often happens with any major holiday.
Easter is an extra special time especially for our troops who have strong religious faith. So many of our troops rely on their faith in God to protect them on the battlefield and get them home safe!
As you plan your Easter egg hunts and Easter brunch feasts with your families, American troops are thousands of miles away from their loved ones and fighting for our country. Every year our troops fighting the War on Terror spend the holidays in Afghanistan, fighting to keep America safe. They are going to be missing their families on Easter Sunday, March 31st!
Just think of all your family’s beloved Easter traditions: boiling and coloring Easter eggs, going to church together on Easter Sunday and coming home to enjoy a special Easter feast with dear family and friends, putting on Easter egg hunts and giving baskets full of candy to the kids. Our troops will be missing all of that!
To help our troops this important Easter holiday we’ve made Easter Care Packages for the Troops available for you to sponsor. Give our troops some much deserved support and offer a message of gratitude. Click here to donate now!
These care packages do a lot to help our troops while on the front lines and fighting terrorists over in the Middle East. So many of them have families back home they miss and cannot see. Some of our troops have already missed Christmas with their families; they have missed a loved one’s birthday; some have even missed the birth of their own children!
No one wants to be far away, missing their families, but that is a sacrifice our troops make to keep us safe. We owe them a little gratitude!! Our Troops don’t ask for anything, but they appreciate everything we send to them.
Your personal message will be sent in a care package packed by our volunteers and sent along with a box full of goodies including special Easter treats! The Easter Holiday is coming up quickly, so get your orders in now!

$40 & NOTE OF SUPPORT OVERWHELMS SOLDIER IN AFGHANISTAN
This is a heartwarming story that all started because of one individual troop-supporter out there who did something nice for a military family he just saw randomly at a doughnut shop. This is the kind of kindness and generosity that remind our troops what they’re fighting for.
| A U.S. soldier deployed in Afghanistan was thrilled to the point of tears by $40 and a note of support for his girlfriend back home, he told ABCNews.com in a phone call from Afghanistan today.
Army Spc. Albert DeSimone said what overwhelmed him was knowing that a stranger was “there for her” while he was war.
DeSimone’s girlfriend Samantha Ford was leaving a Dunkin’ Donuts Sunday in Arlington, Mass., when she saw a white envelope tucked under the windshield wiper on her car. She has a bumper sticker that reads, “1/2 of my heart is in Afghanistan.”
Written on the outside of the envelope was a note that read, “I noticed the sticker on the back of your car. Take your hero out to dinner when he comes home. Thank you both for serving. Him deployed and you for waiting.”
It was signed, “United States Veteran, God Bless.” There were two $20 bills inside the envelope.
DeSimone, 25, told ABCNews.com via Skype from Afghanistan
today that he was touched by the photo when Ford sent it to him.
“I thought it was absolutely unbelievable and it brought tears to my eyes because it just made me feel good that people back home were there to be there for her, which has made her feel really good,” DeSimone said. “Plus, a veteran himself doing that for her and me just let me know that there’s still amazing people out there.”
DeSimone is a specialist with the 2nd Battalion 7th Infantry Regiment and was deployed in September 2012. He said he is not allowed to say where he is stationed other than Afghanistan.
This is a reminder that YOU can make a difference to one or more of our troops. Every individual person who donates and sponsors a care package to Afghanistan, for as little as $24.95, is making a real difference.
It is an immeasurable and invaluable morale boost to the individual soldier, marine, airman, sailor, or guardsman who receives a care package, or to the whole unit when you sponsor a larger package that gets shared with many troops.
Donate now to make a difference to our troops over in Afghanistan with plenty of time to get the care package shipped off before Easter Sunday.
