Obama Set to Announce Troop Drawdown

OBAMA TO ANNOUNCE TROOP DRAW-DOWN
DON’T FORGET OUR BRAVE TROOPS NOW!

THEY STILL NEED OUR SUPPORT ALL YEAR!

Tonight at his State of the Union address, the President is expected to announce some sort of plan to cut troop levels in Afghanistan by half. This is Obama’s latest political maneuvering, but like many of you, we are extremely concerned about the timing and scope of his withdrawal plans.

Remember though, that these changes are not immediate. While some troops will be drawn down by the end of the year, this will take much time. Indeed, we still have over 66,000 troops serving now and they’ll still be there through the end of the year. Are we going to abandon them now?

Valentine’s Day is coming fast, but 66,000 troops won’t be able to take their loved ones out for a Valentine’s Day celebration, instead they will be serving in harm’s way. This Valentine’s Day show the troops you care and send them a personal note from you, along with coffee, cookies, beef jerky, and boxes of Valentine’s candy. Don’t let our troops in Afghanistan be forgotten, sponsor a care package now. CLICK HERE TO SEND SUPPORT!

SCHOOL KIDS WRITE VALENTINE’S DAY CARDS FOR THE TROOPS
“THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING AND MAKING THE WORLD FREE”

Move America Forward has reached out to local area schools to help them connect with troops in Afghanistan. We’re including some Valentine’s Day cards prepared by kids from grades 1-6 who wanted to say “It is an honor to be writing a letter to a soldier. You are a hero to the USA.”Here are some MORE examples of Valentine’s Day cards we’ve collected from the kids!

Help us get these cards over to the troops in Afghanistan! They are as uplifting as they are cute, and the troops need to see them!

Sponsor a care package to get them over to our deployed Forward Operating Bases. You can send them some love with your personal message attached to a care package full of things that they want. Valentine’s Day is a day for loved ones, couples and family. No greater party deserves our remembrance than the military. Help show you love them.
