Introducing Valentine’s Day Care Packages

Every holiday that a Soldier, Marine, Sailor, Airman, or Guardsman spends deployed overseas can be tough, and Valentine’s Day is no exception.

Military families go through incredible strain from the difficulties of deployment. Husbands and wives use every method available to stay in touch, but it’s still difficult to maintain across thousands of miles of separation and months spent away from home. Don’t let our troops get lonely this Valentine’s Day!

Move America Forward has made it easy to send our troops special Valentine’s Day care packageswith a personal note from you. We have put together a special care package that includes special pro-troop Valentine’s heart candies to lift our troops’ spirits.

Send a message of love and support to a brave Soldier, Marine, Sailor, Airman, or Guardsman serving overseas. They deserve a morale boost and some sweet treats!

Right now we’re getting ready to send hundreds of Valentine’s Day care packages to troops serving overseas, but we need YOU to sponsor them so that we can get them to the post office and then to our troops on the front lines. Show your support for our brave troops this Valentine’s Day.

Troops in Far-Flung Province Given MREs for Breakfast Instead of Real Food

You may have noticed that we have mentioned this problem in SEVERAL E-MAILS. We are reminding you because it’s EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. This is something we have not seen before, and our troops have no one to rely on to help them but us, their support base.

Troops in some bases in Afghanistan are no longer receiving hot meals for breakfast or midnight 4th meal. They get lunch and dinner provided, but for breakfast and late night, they must do with MRE’s. This makes it impossible for troops who are out on patrol during Lunch and Dinner to get a hot meal. Two MRE rations a day? OUR TROOPS DESERVE BETTER!

I am here and its breakfast time and the dining facility is CLOSED. There were a box of MREs out at dinnertime last night for the taking, but no one seemed to be taking them (no surprise)…so, I surmise, most, like myself, are simply skipping the most important meal of the day. Bad decision by someone. Hot chow in the morning is not only good, its good for morale

My nephew is over there and he is not getting breakfast any longer the mess hall was open 24 hours is now open 3 hours for lunch and 3 hours for dinner if he wants cold cereal for breakfast he has to go to the other side of the base, if they are on a mission for several days and come back they have to wait until the mess hall is open.

Here’s an example of some items a soldier might find in his or her “Breakfast” MRE.

Compare that to what the troops receive in a MAF care package. There’s no comparison, really. The MRE provides nutrition, but no taste, while a care package from home gives a soldier the goodies that taste great, the personal care items that make deployment a little easier, and the morale boost from knowing that someone back home cares and appreciates their service.

Our troops need us more than ever. They don’t complain about situations like this, they simply tough it out, but we know that we can give them better! Sponsor a care package now and give our troops the support they need! CLICK HERE TO SEND SUPPORT NOW!
