FBI To Address Attacks

Dear Pro-Troop Supporters:

I have some great news to share with you!! Please also pass along this information to others who will appreciate the good news.

As you know there has sadly been an increasing campaign of violence against military recruiting centers across the nation - conducted by anti-military radicals (who are erroneously referred to as "peace activists" by a sympathetic media). We at Move America Forward researched the vast array of these incidents and compiled them together in "The Sedition Report" which we provided to members of Congress and law enforcement.

Today Move America Forward's legal team received an official response from the U.S. Department of Justice criminal division:

"This is in response to your letter to the Criminal Division dated April 3, 2008. on behalf of your client, Move America Forward, Inc., recounting a number of incidences of vandalism and other activities at military recruiting stations."

Much to our delight, the letter went on to say that they had agreed to direct our formal request for an investigation (and appropriate prosecutions based on the results of those investigations), "to Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters for review and appropriate action."

We at Move America Forward will keep pressing forward on this issue. We will not allow our troops to come under attack here on home soil from those who express a seething white hatred towards our military men and women.

Over the past several weeks thousands of patriotic Americans provided the financial support that has paid for our legal team to press forward with these efforts. You and other patriots also paid for a television commercial that documented these attacks that has already aired across the nation.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of our troops and helping us at Move America Forward to make great progress in our pro-troop efforts.

Fondly,

Melanie Morgan

Working Together To Help Move America Forward

Move America Forward (MAF) is the nation's largest grassroots pro-troop organization.  We are a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving our American heritage of freedom and liberty.  MAF was formed in early 2004 by The Honorable Howard Kaloogian and acclaimed radio and television personality, Melanie Morgan (KSFO 560 AM -- San Francisco).

In the effort to support our troops and their missions to fight terrorism, Move America Forward has battled against the likes of MoveOn.org, Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, the liberal mainstream media and the "Blame America First" crowd that constantly undermines American security in the fight against terrorism.

Among the many accomplishments of Move America Forward to date:

  • Sponsored the "Gold Star Parents to Iraq" trip in which parents of U.S. soldiers killed in the war could see first hand the country where their sons sacrificed their lives. These parents toured Saddam's concentration camps and prisons, conferred with government officials, met with U.S. military men and women stationed in Iraq and visited with some of the people of Iraq face to face. These Gold Star Parents are outspoken supporters of the mission our men and women are serving in Iraq.

  • Launched the "Coffee, Cookies, Gatorade, and Beef Jerky for Our Troops" program in partnership with premium coffee roaster, Art's Coffee, Cornerstone Coffee, Cookie Club of America and House of Jerky. To date we've sent over 20 tons of premium fresh ground coffee, cookies, beef jerky, and Gatorade to our troops serving in Iraq & Afghanistan. The treats include a personal message of support from a sponsoring family back home.

  • Began the petition drive asking Congress to Censure former president Jimmy Carter for his continued support of terrorist organizations like Hamas and his appalling support of Marxist dictators like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. Jimmy Carter's offensive conduct has continuously undermined our troops and U.S. efforts to defeat terrorism.

  • Broadcasted dozens of television and radio commercials throughout the nation advocating support for our troops serving heroically in Iraq and Afghanistan and the fight against terrorism.   We have not hesitated to speak out against those who undermine our brave men and women overseas. More than 100 million Americans have seen our ads.

  • Launched the "You Don't Speak for Me Cindy" caravan tour and became the largest voice countering that of anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan.  We led two cross-country tours and held "Support Our Troops" rallies in dozens of cities nationwide. The most prominent rallies were held in Crawford, Texas and Washington D.C. in which thousands of supporters came to show their support for our brave men and women as well as their disapproval of Cindy Sheehan's "blame America first" rhetoric.

  • Worked in conjunction with RighTalk Radio to lead the "Voices of Soldiers" Truth Tour - with Move America Forward's Co-Chairs (Howard Kaloogian & Melanie Morgan) and MAF Board Member Buzz Patterson leading a delegation of radio talk show hosts to Iraq.  The talk show hosts interviewed of soldiers, providing a forum for them to tell the American people about the accomplishments they are making in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the fight against terrorism.

  • Collected and sent $2.8 Million worth of pharmaceutical supplies to Afghanistan & Iraq.

We're proud of the success we've had in fighting to make America an even greater nation. Unlike those who only see a future of failure for this country, we see a future where freedom and liberty create endless opportunities for Americans and our friends and allies in a more secure world.

We invite you to join with us to help Move America Forward!

U.S. Troops Show They are Good On Their Word

You may not hear about it, but many Iraqi police stations are staffed by loyal and dedicated Iraqis who are committed to providing a secure future for their fellow countrymen.

U.S. Troops recently made the effort to show that such dedication was appreciated, delivering a long-delayed shipment of essential office supplies to properly equip the office. May these brave young men maintain the resolve to stare down those who use violence against the innocents and force their will upon others.

The Defend America website brings us this story.

Garrison said that aside from the physical addition to the police station, the delivery helped to continue to cement the relationship between Iraqi Police here and Marines and soldiers. They know that their concerns are taken seriously and Marines and soldiers don’t just respond when they need more firepower.

“It shows them that we trust them when we give them the items they need to run a station, whether it’s desks or thousands of rounds of ammunition,” Garrison added. “It takes time but they see we’re good on our word.”

The BIG DAY!!

We began the morning in Dallas... we left the Hyatt Regency, Dallas parking lot a little after 9:00 AM. Supporters lined the streets with signs and American flags. And a huge caravan of cars departed for our first stop in Waco. We couldn't believe our eyes when we arrived at the Wal Mart parking lot in Waco. There were hundreds of supporters lined up to greet us. Cars were decorated with red, white and blue... American Flags... and signs with messages of support for our troops.

Melanie Morgan and Deborah Johns hopped on top of a flat bed truck that was provided by trucker Bill Williams (who joined us in Amarillo). They addressed the throng of supporters and rallied them on to Crawford.

The now massive caravan of cars, trucks, motorhomes, and motorcycles slowly moved on to Crawford, Texas and joined an ever-growing crowd that was estimated to be between 2,000 and 4,000 people strong!

Military families - including many who lost a son or daughter in the war against terrorism spoke to the crowd and urged the nation to stay the course in Iraq. There were so many inspiring speakers including Deena Burnett whose husband was one of the leaders of the American rebellion aboard Flight 93 that managed to take back control of that flight from the terrorists... before the jet crashed into the fields of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

After the rally, Deborah Johns led a contingent of Gold Star Moms and Dads who proceeded to Cindy Sheehan's camp where they honored the wishes of certain families who asked Deborah and her contingent to remove the names of people on those white crosses who would not want to be displayed.

Later that evening supporters of our troops held a candlelight vigil at the Soldiers Angel display created by artist Lei Hennesy Owens.

On Thursday we started the day VERY early in Albuquerque on their powerhouse NewsTalk station KKOB 770 AM... then we were off on another long drive. We arrived in the late part of the evening in Amarillo where we were greeted with an escort from a stream of big rig trucks and motorcycles. It was one of the most memorable moments from the trip, and one of our grandest entrances for the caravan!
