The California state assemblyman who made history by launching the Recall Gray Davis movement that helped elect Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor has turned his attention to the thousands of American soldiers currently fighting the war on terror. Move America Forward, a Sacramento-based nonprofit led by former assemblyman Howard Kaloogian, was formed in May to create positive awareness toward U.S. troops through a series of paid TV and radio spots. The ads encourage viewers to make tax-deductible donations so that more can be produced. Click here to read full story

In just three weeks, thousands of Republican delegates from around America will descend upon New York City for the 2004 Republican National Convention. While convention delegates will announce their support for the re-election of President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, another constituency will also be making its way to New York with a very different agenda.
Anti-war organizations have been planning for several months to organize the largest anti-war rally in U.S. history. And thousands of these “Blame America First” organizers have already arrived in New York, conducting meetings on how to disrupt the Republican National Convention and sabotage the message of support for our troops and the war on terrorism.

Sometime this week, in some unnamed theater, one of the most outspoken opponents of Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11” plans to watch what he’s been encouraging others to boycott.
Howard Kaloogian, chairman of the Sacramento-based Move America Forward, makes it clear he won’t be paying to watch the anti-Bush film, denying Moore any ticket proceeds from his pocket. Kaloogian believes he’s already seen enough to personally launch a full-on campaign denouncing Moore’s box-office hit.

Move America Forward “It’s been impossible to miss the media’s obsession with Michael Moore and his new film, ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’ which attacks our troops, the war on terrorism and President Bush...”
“Michael Moore has the right to free speech. He has the right to make this movie. But, you know what? We, the American people, have a right to raise our objections to his crass anti-American jihad.” - statement by Move America Forward, a pro-President Bush group funded through private donations

The distribution company releasing Michael Moore’s propaganda flick, “Fahrenheit 9/11,” Front Row Entertainment, say they won’t reject offers of assistance from the terrorist group, Hezbollah. Move America Forward Vice Chair, Melanie Morgan said in response, “Michael Moore dismisses Americans who are upset with his film and the impact it has in undermining support for the war against terrorism. At the same time, his distribution companies are concerned about offending the sensibilities of terrorists. That certainly gives rise to asking the question: whose side are you on?” Click here to read full story

The terrorist group Hezbollah has reached out to distributors of Michael Moore’s anti-military propaganda flick, “Fahrenheit 9/11” with an offer to help promote the film.
The report of Hezbollah’s involvement came in Thursday’s London newspaper, The Guardian, with the headline, “Fahrenheit 9/11 gets help offer from Hezbollah.” Hezbollah’s endorsement underscores the argument made by Move America Forward that Moore’s movie is designed to undermine support for the war on terrorism.

Michael Moore’s propaganda flick “Fahrenheit 9/11” is getting a chilly reception from skeptical movie theater operators.
A month ago Moore and his partners, Lions Gate Films and IFC Films, had claimed that more than 1,000 movie theaters would be showing his anti-war ‘documentary.’ Soon thereafter they claimed “around” 1,000 theaters would pick up the film. Then that number changed to 700. In the last few days that number had dropped again to “at least 500.” As of today, a review of the film’s website showed that only 417 theaters would show the film – and most of those are poorly attended “art house” theaters.

Group puts heat
Move America Forward pressuring theater owners not to show film
By Nicole Sperling
LOS ANGELES - A group opposing Michael Moore’s documentary “Fahrenheit 9/11” is urging U.S. movie theaters not to screen the film, which is set to open June 25. California-based Move America Forward, which says its goal is “supporting America’s war on terrorism,” has launched an electronic campaign, both via e-mail and through its Web site, encouraging theaters not to play Moore’s film, which is critical of the war in Iraq. Additionally, Move America Forward has listed on its Web site the movie theaters that either have agreed already to screen “Fahrenheit 9/11” or have not yet decided on a course of action. The Web site lists e-mail addresses of executives at 23 theater chains, both large and small, along with their business addresses, and it urges the public to contact them with their objections to the film. A new organization dedicated to supporting America’s war on terrorism is asking Americans to stand up and voice their disgust with leftist filmmaker Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11.” They are urging movie theaters to drop the anti-American film from their movie lineup.
Many of the organizers of the new group, Move America Forward, were also the principals of the Defend Reagan Committee, which successfully persuaded CBS to drop the hateful miniseries, “The Reagans.” The new organization was started in May to rally public support for our troops, our military and the war on terrorism.
