Media Coverage of “America Remembers 9/11” Rally

MEDIA COVERAGE OF “AMERICA REMEMBERS 9/11” RALLY

One of Move America Forward’s supporters wrote in to ask what kind of media coverage we received for this event marking the 5th year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  Here’s the report we came up with, but if you see something we’re missing please email john@moveamericaforward.org and we’ll be sure to include it in this report.

* Story promoting the rally appeared on Page 3 of September 1st edition of Sacramento Union newspaper.

* Mention of rally appeared in September 9th story about MAF by Sacramento Bee.

* San Francisco Chronicle was present, covering the event for an upcoming profile piece on MAF’s Chairman, Melanie Morgan.

* KOVR - 13 (CBS) and CW 31 (old WB now WB/CBS) promoted rally on website and in their news broadcasts.

* Rally plugged by Op. Iraqi Freedom Vet Eric Egland in his morning appearance on KXTV-10 (ABC) and on local NPR affiliate when he was interviewed about 9/11 and his role as contributing author to The Blog of War.

* Rally broadcast live on 101.9 FM - The Wolf (Sacramento) after being promoted on The Wolf’s website in the days leading up to the rally.

* Rally promoted on airwaves and website of “Hot Talk” 560 AM - KSFO, San Francisco.

* Rally promoted in column at WorldNetDaily website.

* Rally promoted by CBS 12 - Action News, the CBS affiliate in Redding-Chico.

* Rally promoted by Univision 19 - Sacramento’s Univision affiliate which did live broadcast about the setup for the event during 6:00 PM newscast.

* Rally covered by NBC-4 Los Angeles television station with a camera present.

* Rally covered by KCRA-TV 3 NBC - Sacramento and My-58 TV - Sacramento (Independent) with live reports during Top News Stories segment from the State Capitol during 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM newscasts.  Tom DuHain reported.

* Online promotion including these news-related websites: Radio Personality/Fox News Analyst Mark Williams’ website, The California High School Conservative Blog, Free Republic website, ChronWatch news website, The Voice Blog, ALIPAC’s website, The Sacramento Republican Party’s Calendar of Events, even the anti-war blog WOT IS IT GOOD 4? was following our plans.
