Call to Action for Southern Californians!

Controversial California Assembly Majority Leader, Karen Bass, is hosting an Iraq War Town Hall this Sunday, October 14, 2007 that seems to be a stacked anti-war/anti-military endeavor.

Since Assemblywoman Bass is supposed to be a public servant, it’s important that mainstream Americans be present to have their voices heard, so this doesn’t turn into another exercise of Bash the Military.  Congresswoman Diane Watson is scheduled to attend as well.

These are the issues that Assemblymember Bass says are important:

Congressional hearings on Blackwater?
180,000 “military contractors” are in Iraq - Is this a new phenomena?
Is the U.S moving toward a private military?
What’s really happening in Iraq & how does the war affect our community?
Portions of the award-winning documentary No End In Sight
by Charles Ferguson will also be shown at the event

Instead of being a forum to highlight the excellence of service by the all-volunteer military our nation has to defend us, it sounds like it will be an attack on our troops, their commanders and this nation.

Please, if you live in Southern California, or in Nevada or Arizona, make an effort to attend this important event and make sure that they hear from patriots who support our military and our troops!

Here’s the time and location:

3:00pm – 5:00pm
