Abu Ghraib Prisoners Were Among the Most Violent and Vile

A great column by Deroy Murdock of National Review reveals that most of the prisoners who were “abused” in Abu Ghraib prison were held for attacks on American and other coalition troops that have killed Americans.  Some of those held are believed to have been involved in manufacturing & planting explosive devices.

This is a starkly different picture from what we had originally been told.  The media had led us to believe that whole lots of innocent civilians had been caught up in sweeps by U.S.-led forces and those who ended up in Abu Ghraib then suffered the humiliation and abuse made famous in photos and videos we’ve already seen.
