Michelle Malkin Promotes September Pro-Troop Push

Our good friend, Michelle Malkin, has a call-to-arms blog posting about the upcoming September pro-troop push.

From September 3rd - 15th Move America Forward will cross the nation with our ”Fight for Victory Tour“ - a national patriotic caravan stopping for 27 pro-troop rallies in cities across America.

On September 15th, when the “Fight for Victory Tour” caravan has arrived in Washington, D.C., we’ll be teaming up with a whole host of pro-troop groups to put on a giant patriotic rally that will call for support of General David Petraeus and our troops in Iraq.  September 15th is the deadline that Congress has given for General Petraeus to report on the progress of “the surge” of U.S. troops in Iraq.

We must turn out in large numbers at the 27 rally locations across the country between September 3rd and 15th, and we must have a strong showing in Washington, D.C.  We also hope many of you will join us for all or part of the caravan route across the nation.

For questions about the national caravan and pro-troop rallies you can email Mary Pearson of Move America Forward here:  fightforvictorytour@yahoo.com

Final Note:  We want to thank the scores of bloggers who have helped promote this event.  We’ll have a posting soon that lists all the blogs and websites that have helped promote “The Fight for Victory Tour” as well as the giant pro-troop gathering on Washington, D.C. on September 15, 2007.

Busted!  Anti-War Activist Caught Red-Handed

At the YearlyKos convention last weekend (where the attitude towards the war on terror is “anti-victory” to say the least), a US Army Sergeant was run out of the convention, berated and threatened all because he read reports on success of “the surge” to one of the panels.  The man who verbally attacked, and then chased out, this Army sergeant was anti-war activist, Jon Soltz.

In a blockbuster column, Melanie Morgan (Chairman of Move America Forward) exposes the truth behind Jon Soltz.  This is a can’t miss column you’ve got to see:  READ IT NOW - CLICK HERE

Fireworks Erupt: Buzz Patterson Spanks Anti-War Activist

On Wednesday’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” Move America Forward Vice Chairman, Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson (USAF, Ret.), took anti-war activist Jon Soltz to task.  Soltz was in the news recently when at the “Yearly Kos” convention he silenced a U.S. Army soldier who supports the missions of our troops.  Soltz has repeatedly worked to undermine the missions of U.S. Troops serving in Iraq, and is active in the MoveOn.org affiliated group, Americans Against Escalation in Iraq.

Watch this great video, where Lt. Col. Patterson gave a much-deserved verbal spanking to Jon Soltz:

Mr. Beauchamp’s “Jingas Khan” moment

Never have I been more ashamed of my colleagues in the media than when they drum up hate for our military with lies. The latest fabrications come from The New Republic, which published flat-out lies written by the left’s latest anti-troops hero, Pvt. Scott Thomas Beauchamp:

THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned from a military source close to the investigation that Pvt. Scott Thomas Beauchamp–author of the much-disputed “Shock Troops” article in the New Republic’s July 23 issue as well as two previous “Baghdad Diarist” columns–signed a sworn statement admitting that all three articles he published in the New Republic were exaggerations and falsehoods–fabrications containing only “a smidgen of truth,” in the words of our source.

Separately, we received this statement from Major Steven F. Lamb, the deputy Public Affairs Officer for Multi National Division-Baghdad:

An investigation has been completed and the allegations made by PVT Beauchamp were found to be false. His platoon and company were interviewed and no one could substantiate the claims.

According to the military source, Beauchamp’s recantation was volunteered on the first day of the military’s investigation. So as Beauchamp was in Iraq signing an affidavit denying the truth of his stories, the New Republic was publishing a statement from him on its website on July 26, in which Beauchamp said, “I’m willing to stand by the entirety of my articles for the New Republic using my real name.”

These lies are more than “white lies” that my grandma told me about; the little ones that never hurt anybody. They are crimes against the state. They are meant to cripple our military, our troops who are literally giving their lives for freedom. Liberals have a long history of blasphemous, treasonous, troop-hating rhetoric.

Private Scott Thomas Beauchamp

And now Mr. Beauchamp has the audacity to question whether people have a right to discuss his behavior. Any real soldier knows that is exactly what he is fighting for.

His own words:

It’s been maddening, to say the least, to see the plausibility of events that I witnessed questioned by people who have never served in Iraq.

From Michelle Malkin:

Liars such as Sen. John F. Kerry infamously railed against our troops who served under our flag in Vietnam. The John-Kerry-fictions have continued in this war (Now we know what the F of his middle name stands for: Fiction.)

Anti-war “Peace Mom” Cindy Sheehan trotted out Jesse Macbeth, who spouted fiction about alleged Iraq war crimes that almost outpaced Kerry’s. This was no small feat. Macbeth claimed to be an Army ranger who had seen American troops commit unspeakable atrocities. This was his “Jingas Khan” moment.

But Macbeth was busted (the truth has a way of sneaking out at the most inopportune times), and all of his leftist fans ran away from him like he was Richard Nixon reincarnated.

News sites and blogs from all sides argue their points. But the bottom line is that most, including the original media on the stories, acknowledge that Beauchamp told a helluva load of whoppers. Go to Military.com for the “he said, he said, he lied, they covered.”

This is from Beachamp’s web site, where he is getting a load of flack for his lies:

If a disfigured woman served at your base—others do not remember seeing her in the last year—and you mocked her, then you’re a rotten human being. Alternatively, you made it up and you’re a liar with fantasies of being a rotten human being. Bold, tough, transgressive? I don’t think so.

Not all is lost for the left’s liars such as MacBeth and Beauchamp. If they follow the logical conclusion of their outings and the story of John “Fiction” Kerry, they know that they now have the credentials to run for Senate in a liberal, troop-hating state.

New York Times: New Poll Shows Support for Operation Iraqi Freedom

Another poll shows support for Operation Iraqi Freedom is on the rise!  We previously told you about the Gallup Poll which showed a 9-point jump in support for “the surge” in Iraq.

These poll numbers follow the New York Times/CBS News poll which also showed rising support for the missions of our troops in Iraq.

Americans’ support for the initial invasion of Iraq has risen somewhat as the White House has continued to ask the public to reserve judgment about the war until at least the fall.

New York Times Article - HERE: “Support in U.S. for Initial Invasion in Iraq Has Risen, a Poll Shows”
