SUPPORT TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN
CONGRATULATIONS! Today is the United States Army’s 238th birthday! Today we recognize the service and sacrifice of millions of US Army soldiers and officers throughout the years who have risked life and limb to defend the stars and stripes. Without the courage and dedication of our brave troops we would not have a country or the freedoms and liberties given to us by God, written down in the Constitution by our Founding Fathers.
The United States Army was established first as the “Continental Army” on June 14, 1775 with command given to George Washington who was given the titles of General and Commander-in-Chief after being nominated by John Adams of Massachusetts at the 2nd Continental Congress in Philadelphia.
Today as we recognize the service of those soldiers who fought to win our independence and the millions of troops who fought and died in so many wars and conflicts through the years.
Today our troops in Afghanistan carry on that tradition and continue to protect and defend our Constitution and our freedom.

TROOPATHON WELCOMES “THE GREAT ONE” MARK LEVIN
Radio talk show host and acclaimed author Mark Levin is one of Troopathon’s longest and most consistent supporters. In fact he is one of the few guests who have participated in EVERY SINGLE TROOPATHON including our first-ever in 2008. Mark Levin was also partially responsible for inspiring MAF’s very successful K9 care packages program by his well known love of dogs.
Mark Levin is one of America’s preeminent conservative commentators and constitutional lawyers. He’s in great demand as a political and legal commentator, and has appeared on hundreds of television and radio programs. Levin is also a contributing editor for National Review Online, and writes frequently for other publications. Levin has served as a top advisor to several members of President Ronald Reagan’s Cabinet – including as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General of the United States. In 2001, the American Conservative Union named Levin the recipient of the prestigious Ronald Reagan Award. He currently practices law in the private sector, heading up the prestigious Landmark Legal Foundation in Washington DC.
HAPPY FLAG DAY!
Happy Flag Day! In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation declaring June 14th as the official Flag Day in the United States.
The red, white and blue flag has served as a symbol of freedom for over 200 years since its adoption in 1777. Flag Day is rooted in American citizens’ pride for their country.
The design of the flag is recognized as a symbol of the people – the red and white stripes represent the original thirteen colonies and the stars represent each state. The flag essentially represented the unity of the people in their genuine desire for freedom.
The flag was intended to be a symbol of the unity of people and not just a representation of the government of the United States. The birth of the flag, reflective of the unity of the people in their desire for freedom from tyranny, was eventually followed by the adoption of the Articles of Confederation, the initial guiding principles of the first U.S. government.
So today, show your support by waving the stars and stripes proudly on behalf of all those who have given their lives defending the American flag. Donate a care package to our troops to thank them for protecting our stars and stripes! CLICK HERE TO DONATE NOW!
TROOPATHON WELCOMES “COACH K” MIKE KRZYZEWSKI
GREAT NEWS! One of our biggest supporters in the world of college athletics is returning for another year to support Troopathon 6: “Salute our Troops” if you don’t already know who we’re talking about it’s Duke University’s most famous basketball coach of all time Mike Krzyzewski!
Coach K is one of basketball’s most beloved names. He started out playing basketball for the Army basketball team while he studied at West Point Military Academy. After serving as an artillery officer he retired from active duty and began coaching basketball full time. He coached the Indiana Hoosiers and even returned to West Point to coach the Army Cadets before being named head coach of the Duke University team in 1980.
Coach K went on to lead Duke to an amazing 4 NCAA Championships. He has also coached the TEAM USA Men’s Olympic Basketball team and won Gold Medals for the United States in 2008 and 2012! We are proud to have him as one of Troopathon’s most important supporters!
