1st Tank Battalion Needs Your Help Today!

Move America Forward is continuing to answer the call by our brave Marines, supporting the 1st Marine Division (1MARDIV), the oldest, largest, and most decorated division in the United States Marine Corps. The 1st Tank Battalion is supporting the Global War on Terrorism by providing armored combat power to the 1MARDIV in the form of amphibious and maritime pre-positioned forces to conduct operations ashore using overwhelming firepower to close with and destroy the enemy.

To maximize our mission of supporting our troops who are on the front lines of the War on Terror, we’ve adopted the 1st Tank Battalion of Marines in the 1st Marine Division who are serving on the front lines in Afghanistan.

Currently, the tank battalion has 600 brave Marines fighting in Afghanistan that need Care Packages. Over the next several weeks we will campaign to send care packages to all 800 of the Marines that bravely serve in the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division. They really need your help!

This is an important opportunity for you to make a huge difference in the lives of some Marines who are making a huge difference in the war to keep America safe from the threat of terrorists.

Just as with the 3/5 Marines we were sending packages to recently, the 1st Tank Battalion has a long and storied legacy of service and duty.

The 1st Tank Battalion was formed in 1941 out of the famous Marine Base at Camp Lejune, NC, where many Marines still train today.

The 1 Tank BN saw action in WW2 throughout the South Pacific campaign. They were at Guadalcanal, they fought in New Guinea, and were part of the assault on Okinawa.

Since then the 1st Tank Battalion participated in every major conflict, from Korea, to Vietnam, to the first Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Now they’re fighting in Afghanistan.

As a separate battalion, First Tank Battalion is responsible to the Commanding General, 1st Marine Division for providing armored assets as well as anti-armor systems and staff expertise in their employment..

Help us reach every single one of these Marines, giving them the personal thanks they deserve. Each of our care packages have items they can use as soon as they open the box, everything from fresh coffee, treats and hygiene products simply not available to them on the front lines.
